Abhishek Bachchan Refuses To Work With Rani Mukherjee

Abhishek Bachchan has turned down Yash Raj’s big offer. This project in question was the Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor starring flick which has cricket as the underlying theme. Our source revealed, “Abhishek was offered a small but significant role in the Yash Raj banner project the shooting for which has already begun now.



He declined the offer due to Rani Mukherjee. He now do not work with Rani after his marriage with Aishwarya Rai. He had earlier done a cameo in their Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007) opposite Rani so it was taken for granted that he would say yes”.

But Abhishek left everyone surprised by turning down the role with the excuse of dating clashes. But the real reason was he did not want to repeat the Laaga Chunari Mein Daag mistake and do not wanna repeat the mistake of working with Rani from which his beloved wife feels jealousy.

The other reason of not signing the movie is that “His career has taken a severe beating with the Drona debacle and he can not afford any more mistakes now. Like LCMD, this movie does not even pair him up with Rani so he took the safe route out of dates excuse rather than offending the Chopras. The makers are now in a desperate lookout for a top star who would be willing to star in their movie as the next schedule begins in January”.

Incidentally, Abhishek has done quite a number of special appearances earlier with most of them being for his good friends in the industry. His cameo roles list includes movies like Mission Istaanbul, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, Shootout At Lokhandwala, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Saalam Namaste and Ek Ajnabi.
