Kareena to sizzle with Aamir Khan!!!

She is the undisputed 'Queen' of Bollywood! She is also known as the 'Endorsement Queen of Bollywood'! Yes, we are talking about the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor who is growing from strength to strength as she occupies the No.1 Status with series of big banner films in her kitty.

Kareena is now on course to set the record books on fire as she is to become the 'only' actress in the new generation of actresses to share screen space with the 3 biggest 'Khan's in the industry..

Having worked with big names like Salman and Shahrukh, the actress has now signed a film opposite Aamir Khan! The film to be directed by 'Munnabhai' series director Raju Hirani, will have Aamir-Kareena jodi sizzle on screen.

With a series of films like 'Tashan' with Yashraj, 'Agent Vinod' with Saif, 'Golmaal returns' with Ajay Devgan, 'Kambakth Ishq' with Akshay Kumar, a film with John Abraham and a film with Karan Johar production, Kareena is surely the Number 1 Actress in Bollywood.

Apart from films, the 'Enodorsement Queen' has some high profile brands like Globus, Anne French, Emami, ICI Paints, Vivel of ITC soaps, Head & Shoulders, Boro plus cream, Citizen watch, Perfume, a Jeans line with her.

Holding the tag of being the highest paid actress in Bollywood, Kareena has also dominated the Award Season this year, with Star Screen, Stardust and Filmfare awards placed in her Trophy stand.

A perfect blend of talent, grace and 'Charisma', Kareena is right there at the top in Bollywood!!

Jiah Khan features in Xeher

Generation next Bollywood siren Jiah Khan is young, raw and determined. This stunning beauty began her acting career opposite none other than the legend himself, Amitabh Bachchan in one of India's most controversial films till date - Nishabd. She was a name unknown which has now changed to form a name that would flow from everybody's lips in the breath of conversations today. Jiah graces for the popular UK glossy magazine named Xeher as the 'Cover Girl'.

Xeher magazine carried out an exclusive shoot in Mumbai itself for their current Winter/Spring edition with Jiah Khan. Their idea was to dispel the belief that Jiah is a rebel. Instead, with a team consisting of ace photographer, Prasad Naik, Xeher set precedent in giving Jiah an avatar that the public were yet to see her in.

Jiah exited her dressing room and for a second, time stood still. Everyone stole a glance as Jiah approached the camera looking effortlessly beautiful and yelled in excitement that she was ready. Standing before everyone was Jiah, the woman they were yet to see, and the lady she was yet to be seen as. She worked the camera, taking delight in every frame, positively basking in the glamour around her. She was in nothing less than her element.

Wearing a dress that was fit for only an 'A List' celebrity walking along the red carpet at the Oscars, Jiah had every capability to fit into that category. She oozed glamour, presence and all things we love about celebrities - it was literally gushing from her in buckets as she awoke before the camera. There were no doubts that this is what she was born to do.

''I've always looked up to Shah Rukh'' - Preity Zinta

The IPL also has Shah Rukh Khan coming in. How does it feel to have him as a competitor in cricket?
I've always looked up to Shah Rukh. When I did my first film Dil Se with him, he was already a huge star. To me it's a matter of great honor to stand on the same platform as him. We're all working very hard on the IPL. Ours is the youngest team among all the IPL owners. Let's be positive about it. Initially, it's very important for the IPL team to work in totality.

Which members of the IPL have you interacted with?
You mean besides Shah Rukh? Vijay Mallya. He's a very good friend, and a really cool person to know. As for the cricketers, they're all in Australia now.

How cricket savvy have you become?
Right now, I am more IPL savvy. We are working on the format and the modalities constantly. But yes, I am trying to get as cricket savvy as possible. On Tuesday, I was watching the match at Australia. I was so pleased to see Yuvraj perform so well. He's rocking. And yeah, I'm reading the sports sections more now. Rome wasn't built in a day. And my interest in cricket will take time. We just did a trip to Mohali. The stadium there is fantastic. Mr. Bindra of the Punjab Cricket Board has been very accommodating.

Are you happy with your new work schedule?
I'm loving every minute of it. I have always had a lot of energy. Therefore, I am now using it in the right way.

Are you growing beyond cinema?
I certainly am. But my first love will always be acting. Cricket will have to take second place. When I'm in a shot nothing else matters. When I'm watching Yuvraj bat I'm fully there. But I'm in control during my shot, not Yuvraj's shot. All I can do is motivate the cricketers. I do have various sides to me. And now I'm getting a chance to explore things that are helping me grow as a human being. I am just so thankful to get these opportunities. I always wanted to make a positive impact.

Are you proud to be so active in a game that's dominated by men?
Men talk about equal opportunities for women. But when it comes to the crunch hardly anyone comes forward to let women rub shoulders with them. I just want to say, the three guys who exemplify true feminism are my IPL colleagues Ness Wadia, Karan Paul and Mohit Burman. These three men have supported me wholeheartedly and without being patronizing. They're truly the modern men of the world.

Having the love of your life by your side surely helps?
I joke with Ness and say you're the wing beneath my wings . When I suddenly burst into a loud exuberant rendering of 'Wind Beneath My Wings' Ness looks at me as if I've gone crazy.

Does Ness enjoy being called the wind beneath your wings?
He is that! To give me this kind of support and provide me with equal opportunities as his male colleagues. It's fantastic. Very few people will do that.

What do you expect the outcome of the IPL auction to be?
It's an open auction. All of us have to be on our toes. It isn't going to be easy. To be honest I've absolutely no idea what will happen. I've giant-sized butterflies in my stomach. I'm looking forward to forming our teams and going ahead full-steam. There's a lot of work ahead. I'm an eager student of cricket. Fortunately, I've so many knowledgeable people around me. I'm just happy listening.

That must be tough for someone as talkative as you?
The toughest thing for me has been to sit in one place for an hour. When I'm on a film set I'm all over the place. But at a board meeting I better be still. This is a whole new world for me. And I've plunged into it headlong.

Did you ever feel you might just end up as the glamour prop in the IPL?
I always wanted to avoid that. But in any sphere of activity people treat you the way you want. I've been on-board in the IPL full-on attending all the conferences. At every meeting I'm the first one in, the last one out. Everyone has got the message that I'm interested and passionate about the IPL. That I'm not in it just as a token representative. I'm fully inducted into it. Let's see where it goes.

Any downside to the auction?
I felt bad that we couldn't get Harbhajan Singh on board, he being from Chandigarh to have him on board would've been nice. But Mumbai went hard for him, and so did we. But…at least the good thing is, he got paid really well. A team is never made of one person. We had our budgets, and we had to stick to it. We wanted a team that was heavy with Indians. A lot of mathematics went into the game. Overall, I think we got a well-balanced team. And in the team format no individual wins or loses. That's the best part of it.

Did your budget afford you the players you wanted?
I think the teams that didn't have to bid for icon players had more flexible budgets. Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur didn't have icon players.

Do you think it's important for your team to have an icon player?
We love our icon player Yuvraj. He's one of the best 20-20 players in the world. He makes a helluva difference to our team's morale. The good thing is, we're the youngest team in the IPL.

SRK's 'no' to Sush

Yes, it is rumored that King Khan has turned down an offer to do an item number in former beauty queen Sushmita Sen's maiden home production.

SRK and Sush had become good friends in the sets of Farah Khan's 'Main Hoon Na' and the friendship continued without a hitch until recently.

Sometime back it was SRK who had approached Sush to shake a leg with him in Farah Khan's 'Deewangi' song in 'Om Shanthi Om' but Sush for reasons unknown refused the deal sighting lack of dates.

Now it is SRK's chance to hit back. It is said that recently Sush had requested Shah Rukh to appear in an item number for her home produced film 'Jhansi Ki Rani', but King Khan has promptly refused the offer.

The industry knows the importance of the screen presence of SRK, be it even for a song. Now we guess Sush would have to do the song sans SRK. Let us also remind you that King Khan will appear in an item number in Rakesh Roshan's film 'Krazzy 4'. There will be two versions of the song where SRK will groove to one version while the Roshan scion Hrithik will shake a leg for the other.

Kajol at her Professional Best

Ajay Devgan and his beau, Kajol performed a mind-blowing Salsa for the number, 'Jee Le' in their forthcoming film, U, Me Aur Hum.

But what remains under wraps till now, is that Kajol was indisposed during the shoot, but still managed to go thro' the intricacy of the dance steps and managed it to the 'T'.

Says a unit member, "We shot the song 'Jee le' on the cruise liner. Ashley Lobo has done the choreography.

Once while performing the number in the evening, Kajol had to leap down from the upper deck and during the leap, she badly sprained her ankle, thanks to her five-inch heels!

But despite that, she took some painkillers and shot the very next day for the same shot with full bravado!"

The source also adds, "Kajol is such is a professional and listened to the director before dancing for this number. Plus Ajay too was very calm and composed and encouraged Kajol to give her best".

Ajay says, "I wanted a salsa for the song because that was the requirement of the script. It was an expensive shoot - more than 100 dancers and we had a crowd of about 600 people on the cruise.

First we decided what the requirement of the script was and then Vishal made the salsa number. It was highly brave and professional of her to finish he shoot despite her bad leg injury."

Great going Kajol, hope to see an awesome on screen chemistry between U and Ajay in this song!!

I Love You too, Deepika to Ranbir

Deepika Padukone stumped everyone at 53rd Annual Filmfare Awards ceremony when she left with friend-turned-beau Ranbir Kapoor. We hear that they are not just back together or dating but very much in love too.

Ranbir was overheard telling Deepika, "I love you" while the two were backstage during the award ceremony to which Deepika's whispered and shy response was "I love you too".

After the award function, both of them headed for Farah Ali Khan’s party, where they held hands, stuck to each other through the night and even kissed.

Earlier this month, talking to press, Ranbir claimed that his relationship with Deepika was platonic.

"We have been friends. Then she was busy with her first film's release and I was busy with mine. Recently we were shooting in Australia and became friendly again. She's an amazing, caring girl. I enjoy spending time with her," he was quotes as saying

The Kapoor lad, who has frequently been spotted on dinner dates with Padukone, also explained that, like every Kapoor, he is a foodie too. So he goes out with Deepika to try out everything from lobsters and snails to vada paavs.

But that was history. Post Filmfares the two look very much in love and not trying to hide their feelings either. Our best wishes the cutest couple in Bollywood.

Rakhi 'Outlandish' Sawant does it again

Trust Rakhi Sawant to come up with something outlandish in whatever she does, talks and even wears. The Bindaas babe was seen at an awards show of a popular radio station in a 'jhatak-matak' black and silver dress. But what shocked the living daylights out of us was her choice to wear two different colored (black and silver) sandals.

What was Miss Sawant's idea to wear this weird and wacky combination of sandals is something we don't have an answer to? May be she wanted to match her black and silver dress with proper black and silver sandals. Your guess is as good as ours.

So, go ahead, post your views on this innovative fashion statement (pun intended) that Rakhi is trying to make.

'Baazigar 2' - No, 'Badshaah 2' - Yes

Sometime back, there were reports that director duo Abbas-Mustan were planning to put direction on hold temporarily, since they plan to concentrate on film production after having announced a slew of movies. The director duo has signed Rumi Jaffrey [presently directing GOD TUSSI GREAT HO], Rohit Jugraj [JAMES, SUPER STAR] and Nishikant Kamat [director of the Marathi film DOMBIVALI FAST] to direct a film each.

“Sure, we're starting a string of films with Rumi, Rohit and Nishikant, but we aren't putting direction on hold. That's a rumor. As directors, we are committed to Subhash-ji [Ghai], Tips and Venus and we will direct movies, besides producing films simultaneously,” the director duo reveals. Also, brother Hussain, who edits their movies, will also turn independent director soon; his directorial debut will be produced by Abbas-Mustan of course.

Meanwhile, Abbas-Mustan were planning to start sequels to BAAZIGAR and BADSHAAH. What happened to those projects? “BAAZIGAR is still fresh in the minds and frankly, we haven't found a script that lives up to the mammoth expectations. But an idea for BADSHAAH 2 has germinated and the moment the script is ready, we would approach Shah Rukh for it,” they state humbly.

Fan smooches Emraan on reality show, Pritam walks off in disgust

"If the whole thing was planned then all I can say is, the show is digging its own grave," says the appalled music director Pritam Chakraborty about the bizarre events that transpired during the recording of the reality show Voice Of India on Monday, 25 February.

In the middle of the shooting a female member of the audience ran to stage to kiss the serial-kisser, Emraan Hashmi smack on his lips. After a horrific silence, judge composer Pritam Chakraborty walked out of the show in disgust.

Recalling the embarrassing episode Pritam says, "It was all so sudden…and disgusting. Voice Of India is a show about children, and encouraging children's talent. We can't have such cheesy behaviour on this show. Also, the Bhatts and Emraan Hashmi were my special guests. I had to make my displeasure very clear. So I did walk out."

Pritam reveals this isn't the first time when he put his foot down on the show. "Earlier they were planning a full show spoofing Himesh Reshammiya. When I came to know of it, I was horrified. I asked the other judges Shreya Ghosal and Kunal Ganjawala if they were okay by it. They said they were not. I called up Himesh to ask if he was aware of the spoofy plans. He wasn't. So, I urged our producer Gajendra Singh to turn the whole spoof into a homage to Himesh."

Says Pritam, "Voice Of India has the potential to give us deserving winners. I don't want it to end up being just another TRP-hungry music show."

Aamir Khan: Yes, I'm doing Raju Hirani's Idiots

"Yes I am doing Raju Hirani's film being produced by Vinod Chopra tentatively titled Idiots," writes Aamir Khan in the latest entry on his blog aamirkhan.com thus confirming the speculation about the fate of Hirani's film. Aamir had acknowledged before the release of Taare Zameen Par that he is considering Hirani and Vinod Chopra's offer provided he likes the final script. His latest post confirms reclusive superstar's plans post Ghajini remake this year.

Aamir begins his latest post by spilling the shooting plans, "Ghajini resumes, shooting today on the roads of Bombay." Reportedly, this action thriller has earned the unique distinction of being sold for a whopping Rs 90 crore. Confirming the same, Sandeep Bhargava, Head of The Indian Film Company said, "Ghajini has been the highest grossing Tamil hit. I believe that the remake of Ghajini will be one of the biggest films of this year. It stars Aamir Khan, so it's a special film. We have acquired it at a value that includes marketing and print expenses. We are working out a distribution strategy for the movie."

Talking about the famed resolutions to his fans, Aamir further writes, "I have managed to stick to no smoking, my workouts have begun again, diet is also getting back slowly though sometimes I break it, and sleeping is still not totally in place though that has seen an improvement too." Khan has been following a strict exercise regimen of three and a half hours and above for six days a week as he wants to get into super shape for the latter half of Ghajini as he shall be bare bodied for most parts. In fact he told his physical trainer Satyajit that he would make such a fantastic body that people will flock the theatres just to see his fine toned physique.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama last week Satyajit said, "Whenever you'll see him in the film, you'll say, wow that's Aamir Khan. For last one year he is working really hard He weighed 84 kgs but now he has lost around 16 kgs. I can't say much but he is looking superb." The perfectionist Khan has built a gym combining two garages within his society and it has cost him an eye-popping Rs 55 lakhs. He did pose for a magazine last month while exercising but he was wearing a full sleeves shirt for he doesn't wish to give away his toned look yet.

It seems he has left the grand success of TZP behind and is looking forward to the road ahead. Yet there's some work left on his directorial debut. "As for DVD release of TZP… work on that is progressing but a little slow. Be assured that I am working very hard to come out with the best quality and some really special extras," Aamir writes. Well, knowing the man who stands true to most of what he says TZP DVD will be something to look forward to. As of now, how about try-n-get-the-info on where Aamir is shooting for Ghajini and letting us know pronto.

Saif, Ranbir team up for Siddharth Anand

The grapevine is abuzz with the speculation that Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor will enact stellar roles in Sajid Nadiadwala's next film, to be directed by Siddharth Raj Anand, currently directing Yash Raj's Ranbir Kapoor starrer.

“The casting will follow once I am through with the script. I haven't completed writing yet. Even actors don't sign projects till they have a bound script on hand,” Siddharth said. Is it a two-hero film? “Yes, it is and we plan to start in October/November this year,” he states, adding in the same breath, “Earlier, there were rumours that Salman and Saif were roped for the project, now it's Saif and Ranbir… the speculation continues. We're still finalising.”

Meanwhile, Siddharth has deleted the Katrina track from the Yash Raj project that he's making currently. “The film was getting very lengthy, so we decided to do away with the track. Hence, Katrina's not a part of the film any longer,” he states. The as yet untitled film now stars Ranbir, Bipasha, Deepika and Minnisha.

Nayan races ahead!

Nayanthara has pulled off a coup of sorts. The' ultimate' star Ajit after the super success of Billa is going to do back-to-back film with the glam queen of Kollywood!
Yes, after weeks of dithering and hunting around for a heroine which took him to Katrina Kaif and Ileana, Raju Sundaram the director has finally settled for the vivacious southie hottie. A spokesperson of Ayngaran International, the producers confirmed the new development, and said that Nayanthara has been signed and paid an advance to do the film.

Ajit and Nayanthara as a team clicked with the audiences in Billa, and also became a hot pair with the distributors. In Raju Sundaram's new film they come as a romantic pair for the first time, and their screen chemistry is sure to work big at the box-office.

Nayanthara has gone out of her way to accommodate this Ajit film, as she has given one month bulk dates for it from April. Meanwhile the actress who is taking break in Dubai, where her brother lives, will be joining the shoot of Kuselan in Hyderabad, in which she is paired with superstar Rajinikanth.

KJo now a competition for SRK

After Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, it's Karan Johar's turn to turn into a game-show shots, albeit for a film.

In Balajee's feature film Khel Khel Mein directed by Sachin Yardi, Karan has been roped in to play a talk-show host for a game show called Karan Banaye Crorepati.

And the actor playing the contestant on the hot seat when Karan shot for the film ladt month was none other than Tusshar Kapoor.

The young actor found the whole experience to be great fun. "I thought Karan being a filmmaker would be just a token actor on the sets.

But he surprised us all with his knowledge of light, camera, angles, shot division and how to stand in a frame. I felt like a complete novice in front of him."

Apparently the director tried initially to instruct his guest star but soon let him do his own thing.

Laughs Tusshar, "I think being on television and doing so much on camera Karan has become a seasoned actor. I seriously think he should do a major acting assignment.

In Khel Khel Mein he'll steal the show from all of us, and then there's my sister Ekta who has also promised to make a vital appearance. But to pin her down is next to impossible."

Tell Karan about Tusshar's observations in his acting skills and Karan laughs, "Well as it is Shah Rukh and I are now being nominated for the same awards. So he better watch out. Jokes apart, I've no patience or time for acting.

Even my 11-day stint on NDTV Imagine's Shava Shava was something I was committed to do. I enjoyed it while it lasted. But no more on-camera activities for me.Or people will forget I'm a filmmaker."

Karan also received a special award from his buddy Ekta Kapoor at her Global Indian TV Honours. "It was special because Ekta was giving me the award. We even danced together on stage."

Next year when Ekta's awards will honour cinema as well as television Karan Johar is expected to host the show.

"If she asks me, I'll happily do it. I can never say no to Ekta," Says Karan emotionally.

Adi is divorcing his wife to marry Rani

The moment has arrived for Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukherji.

The Yash Raj scion, who was staying at a suburban five-star hotel for a long time due to differences with his parents is back in his parent's home but on one condition that they don't interfere in his personal life read Rani Mukerji.

The entire problem started with Yash and Pamela Chopra's disapproval for Rani as they didn't want their son to break-up with his wife Payal but the DDLJ director didn't gave in to their demands... and still dating the queen bee.

He apparently wanted Payal to move out of the house before he returned home. Though Pam still does not like Rani much, but has had to bend because she could not stay away from her son.

But what about poor Payal? She gets a settlement, worth more than Rs 20 crore we hear, besides a plush spacious in Juhu, close to Sanjana Kapoor's Prithvi theatre.

With everything else falling in place, Adi is finally filing for a divorce. His married life of five-odd years is headed nowhere, they have told the family court in Bandra. The mandatory six-month cooling-off period required after filing a mutual consent divorce petition will get over this May for the producer.

It took three joint meetings with their lawyer for the two to set their divorce process in motion.

Their lawyer advised them and they agreed not to mention the terms of settlement in the court documents, opting instead for an out-of-court arrangement.

Akki getting 1.5 Crore per day

Akshay's rags to riches story is no less than a fairy tale. The hardworking actor has not been churning superhits but also grown as an actor over the time.

We hear that Akki is about to sign a mega ad deal with Spykar which will pay him whopping Rs 1.5 crore per day!

Sanjay Vakharia, Director Marketing at Spykar is a school friend of Akshay’s and their association goes way back.

Says Akshay, “I’m doing this endorsement for someone I’ve known since childhood. And because it is a youth brand. But let’s not talk about the money. I’ll just say I’ll get what I deserve.”

Meanwhile Coca Cola India is all set to woo its fans with a daredevil car chase action featuring Akki as part of its new campaign for Thums Up.

Shot over the period of a week, the commercial shows Akshay at the wheels of a car, in a high-speed chase sequence during which he zig-zags his way through the narrow and labyrinthine alleys of Kuala Lumpur to get to his Thums Up bottle.

Besides action, the ad also has a punch of humour at its end, which shows Akshay lying in a hospital, all plastered up, but still happy to sip his Thums Up.

The ad has Akshay sporting his new, cropped-hair look.
